We are sad to announce that on June 5, 2020, at the age of 89, Wilber Lee George of Roland, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William George and Lula Glaze George; his wife Faye Hudson George; and his siblings, Gilbert, Roy George, Helen Brown and Ethel Troxell.

He is survived by : his daughters, Linda Kam (Clint) of Roland and Charlotte Moore (Roger) of Rogers; his grandsons, David and Michael Moore; and his brother Verlon George of Melbourne, Florida..

Funeral services will be limited to a small number of people allowed inside the church due to the guidelines for social distancing for the current Covid 19 situation.

“Wilber was this finest man that I ever worked for at AP&L. Even keeled and never angered. Oh the stories. I was a third yr apprentice when I went to his service truck (the cleanest). I was privileged to be allowed to drive, he was real picky after another driver turned them over out Ferndale Cutoff. Always loved seeing the families vacation pictures he had developed. Wilber was a rock to a lot of us young apprentices. The lights on earth are dim but those in heaven are definitely brighter!”
