Harry Houston Phelps Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harry Houston Phelps of Rowell, Arkansas, who passed away on February 16, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Royce Phelps and Velma Francis Reed Phelps; his wife Mary Alice McDaniel; his son Donald Houston Phelps; his siblings, James Royce Phelps Jr. (Pete), Ralph Henry Phelps, Jon Charles Phelps, Jerry Donald Phelps and Joann Phelps; and his great grandchild Whitley Young.

He is survived by: his daughter Mary Catherine Eldridge (Mike); his grandchildren, Brad Young (Karla), Matt Eldridge (Kandi), Sarah Slaughter (James), Miranda Tucker (Joseph), Melissa Tumbleson (Mitchell) and Lexie Phelps; his daughter-in-law Stephanie Phelps; and his great grandchildren, Brenna, Hudgin Young, Paisley Slaughter, Tinley, Brody Tumbleson, Beckett Eldridge and Kendyl Lehr. He is also survived by brother and sister in laws.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Center Missionary Baptist church in his memory.
