He was predeceased by : his parents, Wayne Hightower and Lorene Hightower (McCaslin); and his siblings, Pauline Bramlet, Wilene Dean and Dalton Hensley.

He is survived by : his children, Wayne Hightower (Karen) of Rudy, Billy Hightower (Rhonda) of Rudy, Donna Smith of Fort Smith and Lori Thomas (Marty) of Lindale, Texas; his siblings, Irene Arnold of Alma, Carol Leonard of Milltown, Arkansas and Doyle Hensley of Alma; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Hayden, Tiffany Walker, Sarah Inman, Nate Elmore, Hannah Smith, Justin Thomas, Daniel Thomas, Chanise Kelton and Gage Hightower. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren.
