Phyllis Ann Whitson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phyllis Ann Whitson of Rudy, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 31, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodford Bennett and Golda Bennett (Watson); and her siblings, Ralph, Lewis Earl, Harold Bennett, Josephine McAbee and LaVahn Bevard.
She is survived by: her husband George Whitson; her daughter Cynthia Whitson of Rudy; and her sister-in-law Oldea Byrd Bennett of Ratcliff. She is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ocker Funeral Home of Alma Address (917 US-64, Alma, AR 72921). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Alma (211 S Mountain Grove Rd, Alma, AR 72921). A burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at the Newberry Cemetery.
