He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Percy Chenault and Francis Louise Franklin Chenault; his wife Ora Lee Chenault; and his siblings, Melinda Chenault, Carolyn Williams, Ella Gilbert, Laura Woodard, Carlos and Ted Chenault.

He is survived by : his children, Bernard Chenault of Paola and Melissa Chenault of Vicksburg; and his siblings, Mildred Mpamugo, Nita Faye Potter, Tina Bradley (Tarryl) of Russellville, Arkansas and Johnny Chenault (Tina) of Russellville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
