He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rue and Virda Lucille Staggs. He is survived by: his wife Taffy Staggs; his brother Randall; his sister-in-law Cathryn Staggs; his stepchildren, Shaune Van Houten, Russell Bode, Margaret Bode, Dr. Scott Bode and Janice Moore; and his niece Joy Baumgardner. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, 2 great-nephews; 1 great-niece; and many loved cousins.
