He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Vernon and Helen Dufrene Whittington; and his sons, Patrick Donovan Mardaga and Donald "Buster" Wayne Whittington Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Marian Whittington; his children, Dylan Whittington of Weatherford, Texas and Lindsey Rae Dillon of Mt. Ida; his stepson Jon Williams (Jen) of Fort Worth, Texas; his sisters, Patricia Ann Dooley of Houston and Debi Hajek (Mark) of Canyon Lake, Texas; his uncle Phillip Whittington; and his aunt Dee Kilchrist. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
