He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Edwin and Gladys Jeanette Smith Cooper; his wife Beth Cooper; and his brother-in-law Barry Whetstein. He is survived by: his children, Hal Jr. (Tracy Cooper), Lee (Sherri Cooper), Clayton Cooper of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Mindy; his son-in-law Derick Echols of Springdale; his sister Rita Whetstein; his grandchildren, Chase Cooper, Sarah Cooper, Peyton Catron, Grayson Echols, Eliza Cooper and Kassidy Kietzman; his nephew Brian Whetstein; and his close friend Julia Reynolds.
