He was predeceased by: his father Bill Bright; and his sister-in-law Suzanne Bright. He is survived by: his mother Janet Lockett; his daughter Justine Valdez; his grandchildren, Trinity and Samuel; his siblings, Russell Bright (Paula), Karie Turney (Allen) and Amy Jones (Adam); and his stepmother Martha Bright. He is also survived by extended family members and many dear friends.
