He was predeceased by: his parents, John McTaggart and Evelyn McTaggart (Kessinger); his wife Caroll McTaggart; and his sons, Jason and Jimmy McTaggart.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny McTaggart (Tina) of Colbert, Jerry McTaggart of Seattle, Washington and Julie Small of Minden, Louisiana; his stepdaughter Colleen Bird of Virginia; and his granddaughter Tammy Hayes.
