We announce the death of Joyce Faye (Henry) Ward of Salem, Arkansas, who passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 83. Joyce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her father Curtis Paul Henry; her husband Donald Gene Ward; and her siblings-in-law, David Jennings, Mickey Oliver, Gary Branscum and Lenisa Branscum.
She is survived by: her mother Lorene Henry (Marchant); her sons, Lanny Ward (Janet) of Salem and Kyle Ward (Michelle) of Salem, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Andrew Ward (Brittany), Kayla Overman (Blaine), Haley Skaggs (Dylan), Brooke Robbins (Austin), Bailey Reed (Blake), Whitney Roberson (Ryan) and Hanna Langevin (T. W.); and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Tinlee, Karsyn, Rylee Jo, Addison, Nash, Renley and Alaina. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Barker Funeral Home (857 Hwy 62 W, Salem, AR 72576). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at the Salem Cemetery (401 S Main St, Salem, AR 72576).
Memorials may be made to the Salem Cemetery Association or Mt. Calm Cemetery.
