She was predeceased by : her parents, William Paul Haufschild and Marie Haufschild (Dulke); her husband Mervin Phelps; and her siblings, Larry Haufschild, Betty Culbertson, Marlene Cummings and Carrie Alford.

She is survived by : her son Richard Jones of Salem, Arkansas; her grandson Skylar Jones (Shelby) of Doniphan, Missouri; her great grandchildren, Canton Jones, Zeke Jones, Birdie Jones and Rory Jones; and her brother Billy Haufschild of Yuma, Arizona. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Salem First Baptist Church (552 US-62, Salem, AR 72576).
