It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Mathews of Scranton, Arkansas, who passed away on April 1, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Doll and Martha Doll (Naegle); her husband Harry Mathews; and her siblings-in-law, Walt Barbagallo and Gloria Nussell.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Friemel (John) of Scranton, Richard Mathews (Tammy) of Scranton and Robert Mathews of Scranton; her siblings, John Doll (Cathy) of Barnhart, Missouri and Jean Barbagallo of Imperial, Missouri; her grandchildren, R. J. Mathews (Paige) of Benton, Justin Mathews of Fayetteville and Madison Cox (Ethan) of Elkins; her great grandchild Everett Cox; and her brother-in-law Don Nussell of Seattle, Washington. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
