We are sad to announce that, on November 9, 2025, at the age of 101, Barbara Gatwood Thompson of Searcy, Arkansas passed away. She was predeceased by: her husband Vance Maynard Thompson, Jr.; her siblings, Robin Gatwood of Hickory, NC, Dean Gatwood of Louisville, KY, John Gatwood of Nashville, TN, Elden Gatwood of Pittsburgh, PA and Mary Gatwood of Nashville, TN.; and her parents, Elden J. Gatwood and Margaret Barbara DeLay Gatwood.

She is survived by: her children, Vance Maynard Thompson III, Elden Jan Thompson and Barbara Greer Thompson Llewellyn. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
