He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Pitts and Gracie Mae Pitts (Skelton); his son Kenneth Wayne Pitts; and his siblings, Kenneth Ray Pitts and Mary Jane Wyro.
He is survived by: his wife Betty June Pitts of Nashville, Tennessee.; his sister Patsy Hierholzer of Karnes City, Texas.; and his sibling's children, Laura Ann Montes, Ruben of Karnes City, Everette Ray Porter, Chandra of Arizona, Martin Allen Perry, Sr., Angela of Alice, Molly Ann Vickers of Alice and Karen Lynn Hierholzer of Karnes City, Texas..
