It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gordon Hogan (Searcy, Arkansas), who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gordon had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Gordon may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hogan and Ethel Gibbs Hogan; his son-in-law Mike James; his great grandchild Jesse James; and his significant other Jane McAuley Hogan.
He is survived by: his children, Beth James of Searcy, AR, Dave (Debbie Hogan) and Julie (Ron Garner). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the College Church of Christ (712 E Race Ave, Searcy, AR 72143-4421). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in his name to Holmes Road Church of Christ in Memphis, TN, or to the Dorcas Fund of the Moulmein Road Church of Christ in Singapore, which provides mission and emergency relief funds.
