He was predeceased by : his parents, James B. Walton Jr. and June Fess Walton; his son James Ryan; his grandchild Ashton Gomez; and his sister Cheryl Awtry.

He is survived by : his daughter Vickie; his friend Tony Moreno; his mother-in-law Ruth Crouch; his wife Vickie; his children, Heather Davis (Don), Hayley Gomez (Ivan) and Brett Walton; his grandchildren, Brianna, Fiona, Brodie, Trey, Tatum, Gavin Davis, Baret, Liam, Silas and Zoey Gomez; and his siblings, Anita Wilkerson (Tommy) and Keith Walton (Derona).

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 23rd 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Highway Church of Christ (128 Hwy Church Rd, Judsonia, AR 72081). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 23rd 2023 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
