He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Elton Mercer and Edna Irene Mercer; and his brother Charles Mercer, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Carver Mercer; his sons, Robert L. Mercer, II, Gregory R. Mercer (Monica) and Justin G. Mercer (Marcy); his grandchildren, Calon Mercer (Kandice), Hayden Mercer (Paige), Sloan E. Mercer and Walker Grey Mercer; his great grandchildren, Collins Mercer, Baker Mercer and Crew Mercer; his close friends, Merle Otwell and Dr. Leslie Coffman The; and also Sharon Mercer.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2602 W Beebe Capps Expy, Searcy, AR 72143).
