He was predeceased by: his mother Lois Spears; his stepmother Vi Spears; and his brother Hayden Gammon. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Spears; his children, Marty Spears (Glenda), Angela Shaw (Jimmy) and Stephen Spears (Toni); his grandchildren, Josh Spears (Alex), Becca Shaw Sullivan (Aryk), Caleb Spears (Shelby), Caitlyn Brown (Taylor), Austin Shaw, Tessa Thurston (Ryan), Connor Shaw and J. T. Spears; and his great grandchildren, Jehu, Charlie Grace, Joel, Hunter and Everett.
