It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Copeland of Searcy, Arkansas, born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William Elliot Copeland; her parents, Archie Smith and Ollie Mae Smith; and her siblings, John Daniel Smith and Vera Wolf.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Elliot Copeland (Deborah) of Prattville, Alabama and Janis Copeland Ragsdale (Scott) of Searcy, Arkansas; her sister Vonnie Smith Bessent; her grandchildren, Justin Copeland, Nathan Copeland, Brooke Kaye and Brandon Ragsdale; and her great grandchildren, Jace Copeland, Carter Copeland, Kate Copeland, Colin Copeland, William Copeland, Grant Copeland, Connor Kaye and Cedar Ragsdale. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
