She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Glen and Drinon Wright Smith; her husband Joe Sandifer; her son Douglas Whitener; and her sister Glenna Dean Smith.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Jennings (Bart) of Searcy, Dixie Bryant (Ricky) of St. Louis, MO and Nancy Duren (Randy) of Benton; her grandchildren, Clint Fulks (Hannah) of Benton, Shawn Romine (Heather) of Greenbrier, Colby Jennings (Meg) of Searcy, Trisha Jennings, Douglas Whitener (Ashley), Casey Whitener, Brianna Whitener and Christie Hensley (Mitch) of Conway; and her siblings, Gayra Smith of Washington and Mike Smith of Perryville, AR.. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren (14 in December), and three great-great-grandchildren.
