He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Anderton (Bill) and Josie Whiteaker Anderton; his daughter Regina Anderton; his brothers, Marvin, Harold, Garland and Delbert Anderton; and his son-in-law John Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Anderton (Billy) of Sheridan and Rhonda Phillips of Sheridan; his sister Alice Webb of Tulsa, OK; his grandchildren, Tandi Metcalf and Jordan Phillips (Sarah); and his close friend Vera Grace.
The family has requested memorials be made by planting a tree in his memory.
