He is survived by: his wife Connie Pfenenger (Ault); his sons, John Jr. (Rachel) of Sheridan and Adam "Twinky" Pfenenger of Monticello, Arkansas; his grandchildren, John Mason Pfenenger and Amy Marie Pfenenger of Sheridan, Arkansas; and his siblings, James "Jim" Pfenenger (Paula) of Blue Springs, MO., Joyce Evans of Grain Valley, MO. and Beth Gross (Bob) of Blue Springs, MO.. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, friends.

The family would like for memorials to be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
