She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvie McGhee and Opal Howell McGhee; her stepmother Celia McGhee; her daughters, Sue Harness and Rita Jo Mayhugh; her grandson Thomas Wilson; and her great grandchild Brandy Harness.
She is survived by: her husband James Edward "Ed" Vance; her children, Eddie Vance (Sherry), Robert Vance (Kim), Jeff Vance (Rhonda) and Channell Barnes (Lenny); and her son-in-law Larry Harness. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren.
