He was predeceased by : his parents, Hamp Whittington and Jewel Whittington of Eudora; his grandson Jason Luke "Lukie" Cain; and his siblings, Desmond Whittington, Roy Whittington, Bobby Whittington, Troy Whittington, Laverne Stepp and June Hallman.

He is survived by : his wife Peggy Whittington; his children, Cindy Roberson of Maumelle, George Whittington (Rob) of Sherwood and Shane Whittington (Jennifer Wilson) of Sherwood; his grandchildren, Zachary Whittington (Nikki Wood) of Lonoke and Blair Ginn (Russell) of Cabot, Arkansas; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Hallie, Hampton and Hazley Ginn of Cabot, Arkansas; his sister Maxine DeAngelo of Bedford, Texas; and his sister-in-law Barbara Whittington of Lake Village. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
