With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Allen Summers of Sherwood, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Summers and Margie Reynolds Summers; his wife Bonnie Gibbs Bolton Summers; and his siblings, Mary Frances Fitch, Bill Bradley and Dixie Murphey.
He is survived by: his sister Dianna Summers Porter (Mike); his daughters, Karen Reed (Dewayne), Sherrie Hamby (Blake) and Susan Thomas (Jon); his stepchildren, Donna Bolton Dulin and Damon Bolton (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Heather Reed (Jonah) and Alex Hamby (Heather); his stepgrandchildren, Bryson Dulin, Brynlee Dulin, Bralen Dulin, Devon Bolton and Berlin Bolton; his great grandchildren, Lily Reed and Flora Hamby; his siblings-in-law, Gaylon and Mary Jane Gibbs; and his friends, Danny and Liz Goodwin. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews, and his church family.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, he asked that memorials be made to his church.
