Stephen Kent Prater Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 16, 2026, at the age of 76, Stephen Kent Prater of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Susan Prater of Sherwood, AR; his parents, Reubin Prater and Berniece Prater; his sons, Stephen Prater of Auburn, AL, Bradley and David Prater; his grandchildren, Owen, Callum, Isobel and Amiyah; his sisters, Terry Curtis of Sapulpa, OK and Jeanne Cole of Ada, OK; Leslie Walker of Portland, OR and Kim Hannah-Prater of Baltimore, MD. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the International Foundation for CDKL5 Research (cdkl5.com) in honor of Isobel Prater.
