In loving memory of Christopher Cavanaugh of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, who departed this world on October 1, 2025 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Cavanaugh and Rose Marie Cavanaugh (Schmitz). He is survived by: his daughter Hannah Marie; his sister Cecelia Gustafson (Tom); his siblings' children, Greta, Ingrid, Elsa and Swen of Cedar Rapids; his brother Craig (Karen); his nephews, Dylan (Cedar Rapids), Ian (Chicago) and Nolan (Des Moines); his brothers, Curt of Cedar Rapids, Cary of Cedar Rapids and Charles (Tammy); his daughter Lawrencia of Cedar Rapids; his aunts, Mary Ellen Schmitz of Kirkville and Tina Schmitz of Cedar Rapids; and his uncle Ron Schmitz (Ryan) of Ecuador. He is also survived by numerous cousins, friends, and co-workers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services (1844 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chris Cavanaugh Memorial c/o Stewart Baxter Funeral Home 1844 1st Avenue NE Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402, with all proceeds benefiting his daughter Hannah Marie as she completes her nursing degree.
