He was predeceased by: his parents, George Cavanaugh and Rose Marie Cavanaugh (Schmitz). He is survived by: his daughter Hannah Marie; his sister Cecelia Gustafson (Tom); his nieces and nephews, Greta, Ingrid, Elsa and Swen of Cedar Rapids; his brother Craig (Karen); his nephews, Dylan (Cedar Rapids), Ian (Chicago) and Nolan (Des Moines); his brothers, Curt of Cedar Rapids, Cary of Cedar Rapids and Charles (Tammy); his daughter Lawrencia of Cedar Rapids; his aunts, Mary Ellen Schmitz of Kirkville and Tina Schmitz of Cedar Rapids; and his uncle Ron Schmitz (Ryan) of Ecuador. He is also survived by numerous cousins, friends, and co-workers.
