He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cal Shirley and Anita Joe Sefcik. He is survived by: his wife Betty Thomas; his children, Luanna Farmer (Doug), Rosa French and David Carl Shirley of Siloam Springs; his brother Dan Shirley of Texas; his grandchildren, Alexus Herling (Daxton) of Siloam Springs, Aiyanna Hayes of Siloam Springs, Jaden Porche (Skylar) of Siloam Springs, Priscilla Lykins and Patrick Lykins of Watts, OK; and his great grandchildren, Loren, Lane and Lukas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Wasson Funeral Home (441 US-412, Siloam Springs, AR 72761). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Fayetteville National Cemetery (700 S Government Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72701).
