He is survived by: his wife Jan Whitmore; his children, Tyler Whitmore (Wakana) of North Carolina and Kathrine Lyttle (Shane) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Dorothy Lyttle, William Lyttle, T. J. Whitmore, Ace Whitmore and Archer Whitmore; and his siblings, Ernest Whitmore, Paula Phillips (Paul) and Marcia Wallace. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
