She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Whiteside and Grayce Whiteside; her husband Reverend Lonnie Nelson; her siblings, Ann Haid and Dr. Edwin Whiteside; and her stepson Mike Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. John Holcomb (Beth) of Siloam Springs, Sherie Lessig (Dale) of Wichita, Kansas and Stacy Ladyman (George) of Skillman, NJ; and her stepchildren, Marilyn Hoyt (Marshal) of Siloam Springs and Phil Nelson (Josie) of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by Many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, gifts be made to the First Church of Siloam Springs, or Springdale Circle of Life Hospice in her memory.
