She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Dodgen and Kathleen Dodgen (Ward); her husband Dr. Samuel J. Starkey, Jr.; and her sister Pamela Rasmussen. She is survived by: her children, Jessica Lynn Foster (Rulon), Samuel J. Starkey III (Shari) and Barton W. Starkey (Stacy); and her siblings, Lawrence Dodger (Ann), Linda Wesley and Cleraone Dailey. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
