He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Whorton and Minnie Whorton (Slusher); and his son David Whorton. He is survived by: his wife Pearl Whorton (Lovell); his son Dan Whorton of Hollister, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Kara Beth of Star City, Tenesha of Roland, Sarah of Austin, Keilyn of Nashville, Jaidan of Nashville, Brylie of Tarpon Springs and Reagan of Tarpon. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Wasson Chapel (441 US-412, Siloam Springs, AR 72761).
