We announce the death of Carolyn Christine Estes of Smackover, Arkansas, who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 77. Carolyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Carolyn will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Carolyn will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Carolyn’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Violet M. Tinsley Yarbrough and Roy Albert Yarbrough; and her brother Ronald Yarbrough. She is survived by: her children, Eric Estes (Meghan Joiner) of Tulsa, OK and Kimberly Smith (Bo) of Smackover, AR; her grandchildren, Logan Estes (Kathleen) of Little Rock, AR, Lauren Estes of Nashville, TN, Katherine Smith, Allie Smith, Cora Smith and Ellie Estes of Tulsa, OK; and her sister-in-law Patricia Yarbrough of El Dorado, AR. She is also survived by numerous other extended family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Smackover Cemetery.
