She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Hopkins and Edna Carter Hopkins; and her son Paul David Gurnsey. She is survived by: her husband David "Cotton" Gurnsey of Holly Springs; her son Kevin Gurnsey of Kingsland; and her sister Gale Vaughan of Thornton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Holly Springs Cemetery (1701 AR-9, Sparkman, AR 71763).
