With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Delores Dickey of Sparkman, Arkansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Granville and Lois Opal Lanius Rucker; her stepmother Annie Laura Rucker; her former husband Bud Denton; and her siblings, Jerry Rucker and Doris Ann Tucker.
She is survived by: her husband Benny Dickey of Sparkman; her children, BJ Stringfellow (Aaron) of Hampton, Lloyd Denton (Sonya) of Sparkman, Jason Denton of Louann, Tim Dickey (Hilda) of Arkadelphia and Tony Dickey (Kelly) of Arkadelphia; and her siblings, Lisa Wise (Jim) of Sparkman, Johnny Rucker (Jackie) of Fordyce, Kenneth Herring (Charlotte) of Nashville, TN and Doug Herring (Donna) of Camden. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (213 N Broadway Ave, Sparkman, AR 71763). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
