Harry Newton Stone Jr. Obituary
Harry Newton Stone, Jr., age 78 of Sparkman died Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at his home. He was born June 16, 1943 in Fordyce, Arkansas. He was a retired lineman for Alltel Telephone Company and an Army Vietnam veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Stone, Sr. and Quinnie Young Stone; wife, Nancy Reynolds Stone; one brother, Bob Stone; and two sisters, Katie Stone and Ivanette Williams.
Harry is survived by one son, Christian Stone Garrett of Camden; three daughters, Susan (Adam) Spencer of St. Francisville, LA, Tina (Billy) Edwards of Malvern, Melissa (Sammy) Stiles of Malvern; seven grandchildren, William Matthew Smith of Willow, Samantha Meredith of Bryant, Walker Allen Finney of Benton, Nathaniel Evans, Grace Evans, Isaac Evans, Catherine Evans of Parkers Chapel; five great grandchildren, Kameron Beasley, Brylie Smith, Aubrey Smith, Cooper Meredith, and Shepherd Evans.
Visitation will be Monday 1:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery near Sparkman. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. David Dillard and Christian Stone Garrett officiating. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
