He was predeceased by : his parents, John William "Jack" Ray and Audrey Holloway Ray; and his brother Lewis Lane "Sonny" Ray. He is survived by : his siblings, Phyllis Ray Ruocco, Jackie Rutherford (Rusty), Patricia Ray, Richard Ray and John Ray, Jr.; his stepmother Nadine Ray; and his stepdaughter Janice Kilgore. He is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.
