We announce the death of Arthur Joseph West of Springdale, Arkansas, who passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack West and Elizabeth Kerkoff West; and his siblings, Jack West, Mike West, Gene West, Pat West, Margaret J. Ellison, Mary Wassinger and Carolyn Hinojosa.
He is survived by: his wife Susie West; his daughter Andrea Whorton (Toma) of Springdale; his granddaughters, Shayle, Mia and Tylie; his son Todd West of New Smyrna Beach; his grandchildren, Derek and Alexa; his sons, Terry West (Liz) of El Segundo and Jim West (Lauren) of Rock Hill; his grandchild Davin; his extended family, Jenna Nealy (Chad) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Laci Van Every (Rick) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Chelsea Wilson (Jay) of Dallas, Texas and Sydnie Rogers (Jake) of Camden, Arkansas.; and his siblings, David L. West of Vancouver, Washington, Louis P. West of Garden City, Kansas, Terry J. West (Beverly) of Shallow Water, Kansas., Elizabeth J. Bradley of Wichita, Kansas, Martha Jonagan (Dale) of Ingalls, Kansas, Dorotha A. Reynolds of Dodge City, Kansas, Ruth J. West of Bakersfield, California, Kathryn L. Church (Gary) of Kansas City, Kansas, Rebecca S. Morton (Stan) of Netawaka, Kansas, Barbara Betzold (Morris) of Hutchinson, Kansas and Virginia L. Leonard of Edmond, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hunt Chapel (5930 S Wallis Rd, Rogers, AR 72768).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Cancer Society, the Scott City High School basketball team, or the Circle of Life Foundation.
