He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Carlton Coker Sr. and Alice Louise Garrison Coker; and his children, April Coker, Daniel Coker and Tia Coker.

He is survived by: his siblings, Arthur Coker, Brenda Stevenson, Cindi Liggett, Dorothy Grissom and Elaine Kennedy; and his children, David Coker, James Coker and Mary Coker.
