Jean Anne Goodwin Obituary

On Sunday, February 5, 2023, Kate (nee’ Jean Anne) Goodwin, joined her Mother, Ruth Goodwin, and Brother, Logan Goodwin, when she passed away at 12:11am.

She was a gentle and generous spirit.

Kate had perfect pitch, a rare and remarkable talent, was an award-winning saxophonist, capturing first chair in All-State High School competitions, and an accomplished guitarist and songwriter. Her singing voice was stunning; her performances often captivating.

Although she resided in Northwest Arkansas most of her life, Kate lived many years in both Little Rock and San Francisco. She worked as a nurse.

Kate’s other passion was rescue and care for countless animals of all stripes; she would have made a first rate veterinarian.

Kate is survived by her Life Partner, Laurie Fischer of Elkins, Sister and Niece, Pam and Zephyre Weatherford, respectively, both of San Francisco, nephew Ezana Edwards of Manhattan, and cousin, Sandra Nichols of Benton, Arkansas. She is predeceased by her Brother, Logan Goodwin of San Francisco, and Mother, Ruth Goodwin, of Little Rock and Springdale, Arkansas.
