He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Edward Farthing and Elizabeth Farthing (Adkins); and his son John Lee Farthing II. He is survived by: his wife Norma Tio Farthing of Springdale; his daughter Rebekah Tio Price (Lance); his grandsons, Landon Price and Layton Price of Fayetteville; and his sister Faye Carter of Radford, Virginia. He is also survived by other grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
