With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melissa Fern Griffith in Springdale, Arkansas, born in Mount Judea, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 10, 2024 at the age of 61. She was predeceased by : her parents, William Noah Treat and Lora Edith Smith; her son Christopher Bayley; her brothers, Jerry Treat and Georgie Treat; and her grandson Payten Griffith.

She is survived by : her husband Chester Scott Griffith; her children, Shawn Bayley of Fayetteville, Amanda Griffith of Denton, Laura Griffith of Denton, Lora Hagger (Lorenzo) of Huntsville, Timothy Griffith of Denton, Allison Griffith of Springdale, Arkansas and Alyssa Griffith of Springdale, Arkansas; her siblings, Betty Treat, Kay Christian (Steve) and Odeal Treat (Sandra); her grandchildren, Brooklynn, Christia, Jordan, Kyrah, Rexa, Rowan of Katlynn, SJ, Zooey, Cat and Jesse; and her great grandchild Amelia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
