She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Alvin Burks and Erma Allene Hogue Burks; her husband Eddie Sims of Springfield; her children, Shawnya Rogers (Clayton) of Jerusalem and Rusty Sims of Center Ridge; her grandchildren, Dusti Sims of Conway, Jackson Sims of Conway, Calleigh Rogers of Jerusalem, Kathryn Hawkins of Morrilton, Courtnie Jones of Dallas and Chris Rogers (Jordan) of Springdale; and her sister Karen Simmons. She was also cherished by three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Homes - Morrilton (1325 N Oak St, Morrilton, AR 72110). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church (6841 AR-124, Springfield, AR 72157).
