He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Elmore and Lois Elizabeth Russell; and his grandson Nathan Lowe. He is survived by: his sons, Bryan Russell of Magnolia, Brad Russell (Lisa) of Eldorado and Chris Russell of Magnolia, Arkansas.; his sisters, Marie Vickers and Betty Storar (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Lindsay Cranford, Justin Lowe, Cody Russell and Lexi Russell; his close friend Mark Herman; and his friend Shannon Parker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to honor Wayne's memory may be made to Missions and sent to First Assembly of God of Lewisville.
