She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Charles and Mary Charles; her husband Alvin Hayes; her siblings, Savoy McKenzie, Robert McKenzie, Bernard Cole, Huey Cole, Henry Charles, Obie Charles, Willie Charles, Wesley Charles, Joe Charles (Romer Charles) and Addie Copeland; her children, Jimmy Rochelle, Gregory Rochelle and Barbara Robinson; her grandsons, Jesse Henderson Jr., Terrence Mance and Terrance Rochelle; and her great grandchild Jalen Johnson.
She is survived by: her sons, Sherman Rochell (Kathy) of Star City, AR, Jerry Rochelle (Paula) and Terry Rochelle (Dametria) of Pine Bluff, AR; her stepson Charles Rochell of Columbia, TN; her daughters, Brenda Hegler (Andrew) of Monticello, AR, Mary Robinson of Pine Bluff, AR and Rachel Rochelle of Little Rock, AR; and her sister Earnestine Rochell of Star City, AR. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
