With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon Kay McDowell of Strong, Arkansas, who passed away on November 15, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Sharon may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sharon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Walker Russell and Joyce Lynn Russell; and her siblings, Brenda Davis and Curtis Russell. She is survived by: her husband Barry McDowell of Strong, AR; her daughters, Stefanie Sanchez (Julius) of Plano, TX and Angela McDowell of Ft. Worth, TX; her grandsons, William Lane Sanchez and Paul Andrew Sanchez of Plano, TX; and her sisters, Jo Ann Dollar of Strong, AR. and Billie Barnes of Strong, AR..
