He was predeceased by: his parents, James Otis and Mary Magdaline Crawford Smith; his daughter Carol; his former wife Alice Jane Smith; and his siblings, Boyd, Danny, Marshall, Helen, Joyce and Norma Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Vera Smith; his daughters, Margaret Connor (Lewis) of Alexander and Kay Bosma (Mike) of DeWitt; and his siblings, Carl Smith (Paula) of Stuttgart, Maxine Oliver of White Hall and Bertha Orrick of Humphrey, Ark.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
