It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horace Mitchell Sr. (Stuttgart, Arkansas), who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mirl Mitchell and Henrietta Mitchell; and his siblings, Houston Dukes, Sr., Dorothy Mitchell, Roosevelt Mitchell, Thelma Montgomery, Mirl Mitchell, Roland Mitchell, Georgetta Mitchell and Robert Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Antionette Mitchell of Monroe, Georgia; his children, Demetria Bilbrew (Lance) of Loganville, Horace Andre'Mitchell (Charlayne) of Chicago and Joseph Mitchell (Felecia) of Gonzales, Louisiana; his brother Morris Mitchell (Theressia); and his siblings-in-law, Kathay Walter (Larry), Janice Jones Harris, Malayna Jones, Michael Jones and Reginald Essley. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

“Miss you Uncle, This was Resurrection Weekend, it was nice, spent Saturday with the husband side of the family to celebrate April birthdays. Had a fabulous time, the weather was, and the company was excellent. Had an awesome time at church on Sunday, my choir sang, and we tour the service up, Pastor had a nice message as well. Now, every time I sing, I think of Regina sitting in the back listening. 😊”
