She was predeceased by : her parents, Lloyd Cruthis and Ottilie Ideker Cruthis (Sug); her husband George J. Plafcan of Slovak; her siblings, Dorothy Dempsey (Dot) of Jacksonville, Richard, George, Troy of Cave City and Wayne Cruthis of Montgomery; her son-in-law Ed Todt of Oran; and her granddaughter Hannah Pfaff of Cabot.

She is survived by : her children, Dennis Plafcan (Therese Hoss) of Germantown, Gerald Plafcan (Jo Nell) of Conway, Angela Todt of Cabot, Maria Plafcan of Boulder, George J. "Joey" Plafcan, Jr. (Dru) of Stuttgart and Stephen Plafcan of Sherwood; her sisters, Rose Kostas of Batesville and Irene Gill of Stuttgart; her grandchildren, Matthew Plafcan of Austin, Joshua Plafcan (Allison) of Helena, Lauren Dobson (Cody) of Stuttgart, Emma Plafcan of Conway and Lindsey Jo Plafcan of Stuttgart; and her great grandchildren, Lane, Cayce Dobson, Amelia Pfaff and Elise Plafcan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marian Sue Plafcan be made to the following charitable organizations: Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak or to the charity of one's choice.
